THE FORSAKEN: 'Traces of the Past' U.S. Release Date Confirmed

May 25, 2004

Century Media Records has set a June 29 U.S. release date for the third full-length album from Swedish death metallers THE FORSAKEN. Titled "Traces of the Past", the follow-up to 2002's "Arts Of Desolation" was recorded at Studio Abyss with producer/engineer Tommy Tägtgren and marks the recording debut with the group of new bassist Stefan Berg, who replaced Michael Hakansson in 2002.

THE FORSAKEN drummer Nicke Grabowski sends this message to U.S. fans: "Hails U.S. metalheads. We're proud to announce that 'Traces of the Past' finally has a confirmed U.S. release date. For you guys who banged your heads to the first two albums in pure satisfaction, I can ensure that you won’t be disappointed by the third onslaught when it hits the masses June 29th. Six months after the European release date, we thought you guys wanted something more to fill your speakers with, and for this we have previously released and unreleased bonus tracks stuffed in: METALLICA's 'Creeping Death', SLAYER's 'Spirit In Black', GRAVE's 'You'll Never See' and our own 'Project: The New Breed 666'. Enjoy and we hope to see you all on tour!"
